I thought people might be interested in some postcards I recently purchased on Ebay of Park Lime Pits. They are dated from the early years of the twentieth century and show Park Lime Pits as it must have been then. To me it seems that everything has changed but nothing has changed at all. The views are clearly identifiable today. Enjoy.

This was sent as a Christmas Card in 1906 to Cousin May from Cousin Fanny and Sarah. It must have been placed in an envelope. |

This was sent from Ada to Auntie Eliza, Miss E A Morgan who was staying at The Royal Hotel in Lowestoft. It was posted on 12 August 1906 |

This one was never used |
If anyone has any other postcards of Park Lime Pits and would be willing to allow me to scan them and publish them here on the blog to share with everyone, I would really appreciate you getting in touch. The email address can be found by clicking on the profile link.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these. Lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI understand that there should be a full selection of Park Lime Pits postcards in one of the PLP folders in one of the filing cabinets that were in the Old Hanger.
